Slovenia expresses its support for Moldova on the path of European integration. In the process of examining legislation on justice reform, Slovenia can offer advice to make the justice system independent, to make the judiciary independent, to make it resilient to corruption. The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Ur\u0161ka Klako\u010dar Zupan\u010di\u010d, made the statement at a joint press conference with the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n
According to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia, it is important that judges are persons of integrity and that there is effective legislation to ensure the smooth functioning of the system.<\/p>\n\n
The Slovenian dignitary also praised the results of the referendum on EU membership and the re-election of Maia Sandu as President. “The results of these exercises demonstrate to Europe Moldova’s desire to develop on a European path,” said Ur\u0161ka Klako\u010dar Zupan\u010di\u010d.<\/p>\n\n
The head of Chisinau’s legislature, Igor Grosu, said he had discussed with the Slovenian official the EU integration process and the fact that Moldova counts on Slovenia’s support in the EU integration negotiation process. The dignitaries also agreed to intensify cooperation at the level of the parliament and discussed reforms in Moldova in the field of energy security, security developments in the region and the actions taken in this regard.<\/p>\n\n
