The Republic of Moldova hosts, for the first time, one of the most prestigious international competitions in the wine world \u2013 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. More than 1,000 sparkling wines from 29 countries will be evaluated by a jury of more than 50 international tasters, including 3 Masters of Wine, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n

State secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and food industry Andrian Digolean stressed at the opening of the competition that it is an honor for Moldova to host a competition of this magnitude.<\/p>\n\n

At the end of the sessions, the wines that will earn the most points will be awarded the Silver Medal, the Gold Medal and the Great Gold Medal \u2013 distinctions that represent an international confirmation of compliance with the requirements of the global markets.<\/p>\n\n

The competition, in which the world’s best sparkling wines are blindly tasted by world-class experts, takes place from 5 to 7 September, with the support of the National Office of Vine and wine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
