Two people were detained following searches carried out on Thursday morning in several localities in northern Moldova. Law enforcement officials say that a group of people, with well-defined roles and affiliated with the criminal organization “Shor”, were seeking to corrupt the electorate for the parliamentary elections on September 28, IPN reports.<\/p>\n\n
The General Police Inspectorate states that the money of dubious origin was transferred via the mobile application “PSB” of a Russian bank under international sanctions, and was subsequently liquidated and transferred to the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n\n
Following the searches, sums of money in national and foreign currency, mobile phones, laptops and bank cards, documents and drafts, as well as lists of people and cars involved in the protests, including the amounts paid to them, were seized, according to the IGP statement.<\/p>\n\n
The police also stated that the use of the “PSB” and “Taito” applications had been documented, as well as certain Telegram channels through which money was transferred and disinformation materials were distributed, coordinated from the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
