Europe will be stronger with Moldova, and loyalty to values and the voice of the Republic of Moldova will make the European Union much richer; there can be no secure Europe without an independent Moldova. These statements were made in Chisinau by the Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, who was invited by President Maia Sandu to mark Independence Day alongside the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, reports IPN.<\/p>\n\n
Donald Tusk emphasized that the European Union is expecting Moldova and other countries aspiring to join or already in the accession process. However, the Polish Prime Minister noted that this is a joint effort and that no favors are involved.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cEurope will be stronger with Moldova; your resilience, loyalty to values, and the voice of the Republic of Moldova will make the European Union much richer. Simply put\u2014there can be no secure Europe, no secure Poland, France, or Germany, without an independent and secure Moldova,\u201d emphasized Donald Tusk.<\/p>\n\n
The official specified that Poland embarked on the path of integration much earlier, undergoing political transformation and transition, and is ready to share this experience.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cMoldova is exactly the country we want in the EU. You are ambitious, courageous, with traditions, hardworking, and ready to defend what is right, even when the challenges are serious,\u201d stated the Polish Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n
Donald Tusk emphasized that peace and stability in Moldova are important for Europe: \u201cPeace means dignity, moral values, stability. This is why Moldova chose the EU, chose peace instead of war.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
\u201cWe support Moldova, we support the aspirations of the Moldovan authorities and society, which is why we are here in Chisinau today\u2014to celebrate together, as Moldovan tradition dictates, a tradition that is now becoming a shared one,\u201d said the Polish Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n
