The Embassy of Germany in Moldova invested about €13,000 in the renovation and re-equipment of the workshop for locksmiths of the vocational school based in Zgurita village of Drochia district, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Embassy, as a result of the re-equipment, the training level increased considerably. Earlier, the graduates of the Zgurita school were unable to compete with students of the vocational schools of Balti or Chisinau because the training process was based on old machines made in 1962.
Now the students can learn the most topical repair practices and are able to cope with the competition on the labor market. The project was a very important one also because the school trains mainly girls in professionals that are traditionally intended for men.
The vocational school in Zgurita was founded in 1959.
