The works to replace the damaged water pipe at 61 Hancesti St in Chisinau will begin this week, SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” has said, quoted by IPN.

According to the public utility, multiple accidents and leakages have occurred on this segment of the pipeline that dates from 1982. These cause inconvenience to end-users and significant losses to the company.

When the damaged steel pipe is replaced with a cast iron pipe with the length of 300 m and the diameter of 600 mm, the water supply service in the perimeter of the streets Miorita and Gheorghe Asachi will evidently improve.

The water supply could be partially disconnected during the works planned as ‘capital investments’ by the company this year.
