The women's national football team of Moldova obtained the first victory in the 2021 European Championship preliminaries. Eduard Blănuță's students defeated Azerbaijan with a 3-1 score.
Carolina Țabur first scored in the 24th minute, however, Alina Dorofeeva tied at the end of the first half. After the break, Moldova was awarded two 11 meter penalty shots, which Natalia Munteanu executed and scored.
The national team will compete next spring in away matches agains Poland and Spain.
