Voters can verify accuracy of electoral rolls from today
The Central Election Commission has announced that the people can check the electoral registers to see if they are on them at the electoral office in their area from today, August 16, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Commission.
The voters can file applications if they do not find themselves on the lists or identify mistakes until August 30 inclusive.
The certificate allowing the holder to vote can be obtained from the electoral office of the polling place from August 16 until September 4. Under the legislation, the persons who will not be in the settlement where they have the domicile on the day of the referendum can apply to the electoral office to be issued with the given certificate. They must present the identity card or another identification paper that can be used to vote. The certificate allows the holder to vote at any polling place in the country.
