Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed Minister of Health Andrei Usatii to monitor how the Ministry’s employees fulfill their duties and to dismiss those who do not want to work, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It is important to ensure the functionality of the subordinate institutions, not only to say that the Government does not allocate money. We must see how this money is used and to be informed about the state of affairs in these institutions so that we do not find out about irregularities from the press or TV programs,” Vlad Filat said, referring to the situation in rehabilitation centers for children suffering from tuberculosis. Several days ago, the media broadcast pictures of a center based in Cornesti, where the children stay by six in one room, do not have what to wear on feet and are allowed to bathe only once a week. “It’s easier to blame the Government than to assume responsibility according to the powers,” stated the Premier. In this connection, Vlad Filat reminded the Customs Service head Tudor Balitski that he did not present the required information about the ships sailing under Moldova’s flag. He said that some of the officials interpret and implement the Government decisions in their own interests, not in the public interest.
