Vlad Filat sets new term for revealing identity of ‘puppeteer’
The leader of the PLDM set a new term for disclosing the name of the ‘puppeteer’ who he said was behind Mihai Godea’s defection from the party. On Pro TV Chisinau channel on Monday evening, Vlad Filat said he will make the given information public only after June 20, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“If the elections for some people are over, they are not yet over for me. For me, they will be over on June 20, when the ballot boxes are closed and all those running in the elections finish the race. We will discuss afterward as my colleagues from the PLDM and other parties should have a calm competition. We should not divert attention from the local elections to discussions centering on the activity, including in the AEI,” said the Premier.
He also said that he was more concerned about the actions taken by the ‘puppeteer’ rather than his personality as his steps seem to have repercussions for the ruling alliance and the democratic reforms in the country.
“I’m not interested in him. It is more important what we do to stop him as his actions are dangerous for the PLDM and the activities we carry out. We often spoke about the exerted pressure. We had been through this ordeal. It’s not good when the people are bought, including from the parties of the AEI. We cannot build and integrate the country when something like this is done. Such steps should be penalized,” said Vlad Filat.
During a program on Publika TV in the evening of June 5, Vlad Filat said he wants Mihai Godea to tell who he met in Vienna. He promised that if Godea wouldn’t tell, he will reveal who the ‘puppeteer’ was the next day. But he didn’t.
