Vlad Filat: Consequence of vote lasts for at least four years

“The elections last for a day, from 7am until 9pm, the voting procedure for several seconds, but the consequence of the vote lasts for at least four years,” the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat said in a public debate staged at the Iasi University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” on November 25. The event involved Bessarabian students whom the politician urged to take part in the November 30 elections and to vote for Moldova’s European future, IPN reports.

The ex-Premier said that the coming elections are decisive for Moldova because the country’s development course will be chosen in them. The accomplishments of the last five years show that the Moldovan political class can achieve ambitious goals. A lot of money was invested in this period in roads, healthcare and important economic projects.

“The date of November 30 is decisive because the Moldovan people will not only choose the favorite candidates, but will also make a geopolitical choice on this day. This is a period of historical importance. We achieved important things for our country and have a course that we must follow, by taking concrete steps” noted Vlad Filat.

He called on the young people to take part in the November 30 elections because they are those who decide. “We should show responsibility as we have the duty to overcome this critical moment. Otherwise, it will be too late. I thank you for coming. Let’s do so as to have reasons for joy on December 1,” stated Vlad Filat.

According to the Central Election Commission, 11 polling places will be established in Romania for the November 30 legislative elections of Moldova.
