Striker Vitalie Damascan is likely to become the second Moldovan footballer who will play in the championship of Italy. The footballer of champion Sheriff is holding advanced negotiations with AC Torino, IPN reports.
The Italian publication Toro reported that Damascan could be signed for €1.5 million. The top player of the national Under 21 football team is to soon get a Romanian passport so as not to be considered a foreign player in Series A.
On January 24, Vitalie Damascan turns 19. He is from Soroca and started to play at Zimbru, which now involves his brother Ilie Damascan. In the championship of Italy, Moldova’s Artur Ionita plays for Cagliari. He played 86 matches in Series A and scored nine goals so far.
