Vacancy opens for Moldova Railway director

The board of the state-run Moldova Railway company CFM is announcing the procedure to fill the vacant post of CFM general director. Applications should be submitted to the vacancy commission within a fortnight from publishing the announcement (August 14), IPN reports.

Candidates must be at least 30 years old and have at least 10 years' professional experience; work experience within the CFM will be an asset. Also, a candidate must have at least 8 years experience in financial management, marketing, company reorganization or corporate crisis management. Another eligibility criteria is technical, economic or legal higher education; specialized education in the field of railroads will be an asset.

Candidates must submit a paper on maximum 10 pages on how they see the situation at the CFM, its infrastructure, rolling stock and development objectives. The application must also include a formal request to be accepted for the contest, the employee's personal file (applicable to CFM employees), a copy of the identity card, copies of education and training certificates, a copy of the employee's record, a resume, a no-criminal-record certificate, and a medical certificate.

Applications can be submitted personally or sent by mail until September 4, 4:00PM, to the CFM headquarters (on 48 Vlaicu Pircalab Street, Chisinau), or by e-mail (daa@railway.md). Contact person: Alina Diacenco, secretary of the CFM Board.

The post of CFM director became vacant after Vladimir Cebotari was appointed Minister of Justice. Iuri Topala acts as a caretaker.
