U.S. supported renovation project at Elizaveta Middle School

Ambassador William H. Moser on November 4 inaugurated renovated kitchen and dining facilities at the Elizaveta Middle School near Balti. Provided by the United States European Command Civic Engagement Program, this US$75,000 renovation included a new ventilation system, and completely renovated kitchen/dining, dishwashing, and hand washing areas, IPN reports.

At the ceremony, Ambassador Moser said that these new facilities will improve the learning experience and help increase school attendance. “Such efforts as these touch lives and improve both the current educational environment and the future of this nation - a task both of our governments strive to fulfill,” he stated.

This was the third renovation by the United States European Command Civic Engagement Program this year. Earlier projects renovated facilities at the Mihaileni Middle School and the Corlateni Middle School. In 2014 the United States provided a total of $297,400.00 for the three projects.
