The Ukrainian refugees who will stay in Moldova longer will be able to benefit from public services based on the state identification number (IDNO). It goes to employment services, enrolment of minors to kindergarten or school, opening of a bank account or registration of a company, IPN reports, quoting the Public Services Agency.

The state identification number is attributed when crossing Moldova’s border and can be downloaded from dopomoga.gov.md, “Obtain IDNO” section. The person introduces the personal data from the internal IDs. The obtained number is valid on the presentation on the identification paper based on which the IDNO was attributed.

If the IDNO cannot be obtained through dopomoga.gov.md, the foreigners who stay temporarily in Moldova should go to one of the multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency. Also, the public entities to which the refugees will go will recognize these extracts and will be able to determine their authenticity by scanning the QR code.

The decision concerning the possibility of obtaining online information about the IDNO of Ukrainian refugees was taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova on March 4 in a bid to help the refugees to accommodate.
