Two persons killed in fire
Two men died in fires in their homes on Thursday evening. The cause of the fires has not been yet established.
Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the fires happened in a house in Mihalasa village of Teleneti district.
The neighbors saw flames and smoke coming out of the window and called the fire department. After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters found the body of the house owner aged 63.
The second fire started several minutes before midnight in a house in Taul village, Donduseni. The body of a 91-year-old man was discovered in a room destroyed by fire.
The 1,797 fires that occurred in Moldova this year so far resulted in 149 deaths. Five of the victims were children.
