Three persons were hit by cars in crosswalks in Chisinau in the morning of March 18. Two men, aged 50 and 53, were struck by a car on Vasile Lupu St, while a woman aged 56 was hit by a vehicle on Mihai Eminescu St, IPN reports.
Petru Cravet, spokesman for the National Emergency Medicine Center, said that the 53-year-old man suffered brain injury, a concussion and contusion of the thorax, while the man aged 50 sustained fractures. A BMW car didn’t give way to them when they were crossing the street legally.
In the second case, the woman suffered a knee injury. Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Uliana Catan said a Skoda car stopped at the crosswalk, but was hit by a Nisan from behind. It was projected foreword and hit the woman.
