Termocom recovers money from debtors by force

The Chisinau heat supplier Termocom last week continued the activities aimed at recovering the debts on the payment of heat bills by force. The residential sector managers, in concert with the company’s jurists, sent over 500 notices over debts of almost 3.5 million lei and are to submit another 300 notices over debts of approximately 3 million lei, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the company, after the court passes decisions on the civil cases and issues orders to collect the debts for heat, the bailiffs have the right to impose a number of restrictions on the debtors, which are levied only after they clear the debts. The judges can order sequestrating debtors’ money or property, ban them from doing certain activities or prevent other persons from transmitting goods or fulfilling other obligations towards the debtors.

Currently, the owners of over 800 apartments are prohibited from performing transactions with real estate, 75 units of transports of the debtors are being looked for and will be confiscated when they are found. Also, 770 debtors were banned acces to their bank accounts.

SA Termocom calls on the end-users to immediately make the overdue payments and to avoid being sued or having their property sequestrated as this involves additional costs that are covered by those with debts.
