The American president, Donald Trump, announced that, from his point of view, the armistice with Iran has ended. The statement was made at the NATO summit in Ankara, where he was asked about the recent American attacks and the Iranian response, reports IPN.

The White House leader added that he no longer wants to deal with Iranian leaders, about whom he spoke in very harsh terms. According to Euronews, Donald Trump also said that representatives of the Tehran leadership are extremely violent people and that if they had a nuclear weapon, they would use it.

The American President mentioned that he will discuss with the members of the American delegation to the negotiations with Iran, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, but insisted that the fate of the negotiations depends on Tehran. The American leader also said that the Iranians are liars and that negotiating with them is a waste of time.

Donald Trump further reproached the leaders from Tehran for presenting something completely different in the press compared to what was agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding from June 17. He cited as an example the prohibition regarding Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons. The mention in the text was denied by the Iranian leadership in official press statements.

A delegation from Qatar arrived in Tehran on Sunday for discussions on finalizing an agreement that could end the conflict triggered last year between Iran, Israel, and the United States. The visit comes a year after the outbreak of the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, reports IPN, citing Mediafax.

According to the cited source, Washington and Islamabad have signaled that a framework of the agreement could be signed on Sunday, after nearly four months of tensions and confrontations that have affected economic stability and regional security.

Nevertheless, the Iranian authorities have conveyed that there are still reservations about the announced deadline for the conclusion of negotiations. Several voices from the political environment in Tehran have criticized the conditions discussed, appreciating that there is not yet a final consensus.

At the same time, the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, sent a message on the anniversary of the conflict, which he described as a moment of “unity and resistance” for the population, while also paying tribute to the victims. According to him, Israel underestimated the effects of the attacks on military leaders, scientists, and strategic infrastructure, asserting that the resistance of the population and the response of the armed forces prevented the enemy from achieving its objectives.

The conflict began on June 13, 2025, when Israel launched attacks on Iranian military and nuclear targets. Subsequently, the United States intervened and struck nuclear facilities. After 12 days of clashes, Israel and Iran agreed to a ceasefire.

The American President, Donald Trump, has extended by ten days the ultimatum addressed to Tehran for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the new deadline being set for April 6th. The announcement was made on social networks, the leader of the White House mentioning that the decision would have been requested by the Iranian side, reports IPN.

Donald Trump stated that, during that period, he is suspending attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure. At the same time, he asserted that diplomatic discussions are going very well, despite contradictory information in the public domain.

However, Iranian authorities have rejected the existence of peace negotiations and continued military operations. Explosions have been reported in Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Meanwhile, American and Israeli forces have intensified strikes on military and nuclear infrastructure in Iran, targeting areas such as Isfahan and Bandar Abbas.

The initial ultimatum regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz was announced last week, when Donald Trump warned that Iran risks attacks on its energy facilities if it does not comply within 48 hours.

The American president, Donald Trump, has ordered the Department of Defense to postpone for five days the attacks on Iranian power and energy plants. The announcement was made by the White House leader in a social media post, in which he mentions that the decision came after the US and Iran had productive discussions in the last two days, reports IPN.

The dialogue with Washington has not been confirmed by Tehran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry specifying that there are no discussions with the USA. At the same time, the spokesperson for the Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy of Iran, Ebrahim Rezaei, stated that the fight continues.

Simultaneously, following Donald Trump’s statement, Brent oil quotations fell by over 14%, down to 96 dollars per barrel. In the context of the oil price reduction, decreases in natural gas prices on European markets were also recorded, according to the publication Bloomberg.

A powerful fire broke out at an oil depot in Tehran, following a series of Israeli and US air strikes on Iranian energy targets, reports IPN.

According to international press, the strikes targeted several fuel storage facilities in Iran’s capital and in Alborz province, causing large-scale explosions and fires. Dense columns of smoke were observed in the affected cities.

The Iranian Red Crescent has warned that attacks on oil infrastructure could generate massive emissions of toxic compounds into the atmosphere. Experts caution that these substances can combine with precipitation, posing the risk of acid rain.

According to foreign press, this incident marks a significant escalation in tensions between Iran, Israel, and the US, being the first time since the beginning of the confrontations when the Iranian oil infrastructure is directly targeted.

The United Arab Emirates have announced the closure of their Embassy in Tehran, Iran, and the withdrawal of the ambassador, along with all members of the diplomatic mission. The measure comes as a response to the missile attacks launched by Iran on the territory of the UAE, reports IPN.

According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the attacks targeted civilian objectives, including residential areas, airports, ports and service infrastructure. The authorities in Abu Dhabi classify these actions as a violation of national sovereignty and international law.

The Ministry stated that the decision reflects the country’s stance against any form of aggression that threatens the security and sovereignty of the Emirates. Concurrently, the authorities in Abu Dhabi summoned the Iranian ambassador, Reza Ameri, to whom an official protest note was handed, condemning the attacks and labeling them as terrorist acts.

During the meeting, the UAE Foreign Minister, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, rejected any justification or explanation offered by the Iranian government and emphasized that the attacks represent a serious and irresponsible escalation.

The conflict in the Middle East is in its third day of military action, which has intensified significantly after the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a US-Israeli operation. As a result, large-scale mutual attacks have been launched between Iran, Israel and the United States. The clashes have included strikes on strategic infrastructure and waves of missiles and drones in several states in the region.

Oman announces progress in Iran’s dialogue with the USA, but the lack of an agreement. Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Albusaidi, who mediates the indirect negotiations, stated that the parties have advanced in discussions, but have not reached a consensus. According to him, the delegations agreed in Geneva to present their conclusions in their capitals, Washington and Tehran, and to resume negotiations next week in Vienna, reports IPN.

Negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program resumed on February 6 amid fears of a possible escalation of tensions in the Middle East. US President Donald Trump has warned of action if no deal is reached, and the US military has strengthened its presence in waters near Iran.

The USA demands a complete halt to uranium enrichment and the abandonment of the stockpile of approximately 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, in order to prevent the development of a nuclear weapon. Iran maintains that its nuclear program has exclusively civilian purposes and denies any intention to produce atomic weapons.

The Omani plays the role of mediator in the context of a foreign policy characterized by neutrality. Over the years, the sultanate has avoided involvement in regional conflicts, often being described by the international press as the “Switzerland of the Middle East”.

US special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff announced that he will meet on Thursday in Geneva with the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, IPN reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

Iran is prepared to accept any form of verification of its nuclear program. The announcement was made by President Masoud Pezeshkian, against the backdrop of resuming negotiations with the US on the Iranian nuclear dossier. The leader from Tehran emphasized that his country does not intend to develop nuclear weapons, reports IPN referring to Euronews.

During a speech held in Azadi Square in Tehran on the occasion of the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Masoud Pezeshkian mentioned that Iran will not yield to excessive demands, referring to Washington.

In the meantime, the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency has been unable to verify Iranian uranium stocks close to the level required for weaponry, after Tehran suspended its cooperation with the United Nations body in June 2025. At that time, the decision was made against the backdrop of a 12-day war between Israel and Iran, as well as the attack on Iranian nuclear sites by the American military.

Last week, Iran and the United States resumed negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program. Washington demands that Tehran completely stop uranium enrichment and give up its stockpile of approximately 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, in order to prevent the construction of a nuclear weapon. The Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that the talks represent a positive start and specified that diplomatic efforts will continue.

The authorities in Tehran are willing to dilute the stock of 60% enriched uranium, provided all international sanctions are lifted, said the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, on Monday, reports IPN, referring to Le Figaro.

Mohammad Eslami mentioned that Iran could give up uranium enrichment, but this depends on the lifting of all sanctions in exchange. It was not clear whether he was referring to all restrictive measures against Iran or just those imposed by the United States.

Last week, Iran and the USA resumed negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear program. The United States demands that Tehran completely halt uranium enrichment and give up its stock of approximately 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, in order to prevent the construction of a nuclear weapon. The Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that the discussions represent a positive start and clarified that diplomatic efforts will continue.

Previously, Iran and the USA had conducted several rounds of negotiations. In May 2025, Ali Shamkhani, political, military, and nuclear advisor to the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, stated that Iran was willing to stop manufacturing nuclear weapons and to reduce the level of uranium enrichment to civilian levels, allowing international inspectors to oversee the process, in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions by the USA.

Negotiations were suspended in June 2025, after the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, and following the attack on Iranian nuclear sites by the American army. Subsequently, the Parliament in Tehran voted for the suspension of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, which means that international inspectors cannot carry out inspections without the approval of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
