After the draw in Chisinau, with a score of 1-1, the team from Hancesti conceded with an overall score of 2-7 and concludes its journey in the most important interclub competition in Europe.

Petrocub will however continue its European journey in the second preliminary round of the Conference League, where it will meet the team Borac Banja Luka from Bosnia and Herzegovina, eliminated from the Champions League preliminaries by Levski Sofia. The first leg is scheduled for July 23, away, and the return will be disputed on July 30, at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau.

The match took place at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, in front of about nine thousand spectators. Petrocub failed to take advantage of the extra man and secure the victory. The qualification will be decided in the return match, scheduled for July 15, in Albania.

In the event of qualification, Petrocub will meet the Slovenian team Celje in the second preliminary round of the Champions League.
