France tried to get back into the game after the changes made by coach Didier Deschamps, but they couldn’t find solutions in the offense. A goal scored by Lamine Yamal was disallowed for offside, and the opportunities created by Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni did not change the score board.

With this victory, Spain reaches the World Cup final for the second time in history, following the trophy won in 2010. Moreover, the Iberian team finished six out of the seven matches played in the final tournament without conceding a goal.

In the final, Spain will meet the winner of the other semi-final between England and Argentina. France will compete in the consolation final against the team defeated in the same confrontation.
