The project was developed following consultations with handling operators and structures involved in airport activity, to identify more efficient solutions for organizing passenger flows.

The works will be carried out at an accelerated pace, and the area is expected to become operational in the shortest possible time. The arrangement is part of the measures taken by the airport to adapt the infrastructure to the increase in passenger traffic, until the completion of the terminal expansion project.

The document provides for additional protection measures for passengers with disabilities, as well as greater transparency regarding the cost of air travel. According to the new rules, displayed prices for flights will need to include hand luggage, providing passengers with clearer information right from the moment of booking.

To come into effect, the provisional agreement must be approved by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
