The Christmas Market in Sibiu, Romania, inaugurated this weekend, hosts 120 stalls with various products, at not at all small prices. A portion of two sarmale, weighing 250 grams, is sold for 40 Romanian lei, the equivalent of over 150 Moldovan lei, which means more than a kilogram of meat, according to local publications, reports IPN.

Even so, the attendance at the fair is numerous, surpassing that of last year. The inauguration of the fair in the Great Square of Sibiu coincided with the lighting of the decorative illumination in the center and the rest of the city. A novelty of this year is the architectural lighting of the City Hall, which projects various colors on the facade.

Tickets for the Ferris wheel, train ride or carousel, for three minutes, cost 20 Romanian lei, which is approximately 75 Moldovan lei. The gingerbread costs the same, and a glass of mulled wine is between 15 and 18 Romanian lei.

The Bucharest Christmas Fair 2025, the largest fair in Romania dedicated to the winter holidays, will take place between November 29 and December 28, marking the 18th edition.
