The marking will also be applied in areas with increased pedestrian flow, on roads with heavy traffic or in crowded intersections. The municipality specifies that both longitudinal markings, which delimit the transport flows of opposite directions and the edge of the roadways, as well as the transverse ones, which indicate pedestrian crossings, as well as the stop line for drivers, are applied.

The City Hall of Chisinau emphasized that the works will continue until all streets requiring road marking renewal are covered.

According to AND, the total budget for these works amounted to approximately 2.59 billion lei, of which 2.51 billion lei were utilized, equivalent to almost 97% of the planned amount.

Over 1.1 billion lei were directed towards the reconstruction and repair of roads and engineering structures. At the same time, more than 61 million lei were spent on design, technical evaluations, and the acquisition of land necessary for the modernization of road infrastructure.

For this year, the initial budget amounts to 1.8 billion lei. The funds are to be primarily directed towards improving traffic conditions and increasing road safety.
