The Mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, stated that this event is a celebration of the soul, because national values and authenticity are important to everyone. “We want to bring here, in the heart of the capital, the energy of our villages, the teachings of our grandparents, and the traditional crafts, preserved and promoted by our native craftsmen. We have here the largest exhibition of traditional ‘ii’ (Romanian traditional blouses). Authenticity is important to all of us, to ensure that future generations carry forward everything that has been passed down to us from our ancestors”, the mayor mentioned.

During the event, extracurricular centers in the city of Chisinau and educational institutions carried out a series of interactive and educational-artistic activities dedicated to promoting cultural heritage and traditional costumes.

Visitors participated in creative workshops, drawing, painting, thematic exhibitions, handmade activities and artistic demonstrations inspired by authentic traditions.

The festive atmosphere was complemented by the “Come in IE!” campaign, and dozens of children, young people and adults wore the traditional Romanian shirt and elements of the folk costume, contributing to the image of a Chisinau full of color, tradition and national identity.

On the main stage, established artists and beloved folk ensembles performed.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the People’s Republic of China notes that the public had the opportunity to discover elements of the national clothing heritage, through the “ie”, a symbol of cultural identity.

During the presentation, ia was highlighted as an expression of tradition and cultural continuity, with hand embroidery and the symbolism of specific decorative motifs being appreciated. According to the diplomatic mission, participation in the event provided an opportunity to promote the cultural values of the Republic of Moldova in the international arena.

One of the digital services of the platform – e-Petition – will offer citizens the opportunity to submit electronic petitions addressed to public authorities and institutions in the Republic of Moldova. Through e-Feedback, users will be able to assess the quality of public services. e-Survey will provide a digital survey tool that will facilitate the process of consultation, research, communication and citizen involvement, accelerating the implementation of ideas, civic initiatives and socially important projects, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization Cătălina Plinschi, stated in the Cabinet’s meeting.

The official noted that the active participation of citizens in decision-making processes is a basic principle in the European Union countries and contributes to strengthening democracy and transparency of public decisions.

The public institution E-Government Agency was designated as the owner and holder of the platform for supporting participatory democracy and it will ensure its implementation. The platform will be integrated with the EVO government electronic services application to simplify functionality and improve user experience.
