According to the Police, the young woman had online discussions with one of the defendants. Once she became aware of the manipulative nature of the suspect, she decided to cease communication with him, but was threatened with the dissemination of defamatory information about her in case of non-compliance.

The police clarify that at the beginning of October, the three men went to the victim’s residence to take over the car from the Buiucani sector of the capital and transport it to Romania, where the individuals were also detained.

The Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases announces that two suspects have been placed in preventive detention for 30 days, the third – under house arrest. They risk between 5 and 7 years of imprisonment and up to 67,500 lei in fines.

“The attorney of the lady deputy requested the bank account to make this transfer. I, categorically, do not need a single leu. They are dirty money, especially since I do not even know their origin. This material damage was upheld by the Supreme Court of Justice. The subject of the fake diploma was so inflated. I graduated with excellent grades, I worked hard as a doctor, head of department, that’s why I said I will go all the way. I have two more cases with them,” declared the Minister of Health, Ala Nemerenco, during the “La 360 de grade” show on Radio Moldova.

Referring to the allegations about the master’s degree, Ala Nemerenco explained the circumstances under which she received the document.

“We were the lecturers of that school and the founders of the school. We were seven professors, already having a PhD in sciences. Someone decided to give us a diploma as a form of moral reward, as a merit, a distinction. It was not an inspired decision at that time, because you see how much I have to pay for a diploma I didn’t even need, because I have a higher title, that of a doctor in sciences,” Ala Nemerenco specified.

The Minister also said that the money from the compensation of 20 thousand lei will be given to a mother who has adopted four orphaned children. “I will give the money to a woman who has adopted four orphaned children. I have been supporting these children for several years, even before I came to the ministry. I will personally deliver the money to these children. I don’t think the lady deputy will pay, I am sure that the Socialist Party will reward,” said the Minister of Health.

In 2021, the socialist deputy Alla Darovannaia accused Ala Nemerenco of illegally obtaining a master’s degree. After a lengthy trial, the Supreme Court of Justice ordered Darovannaia to pay the minister a moral damage of 20 thousand lei and to reimburse all her legal expenses.
