A 38-year-old citizen of Romania was arrested by the police in a shopping center in Chisinau on suspicion that he swindled several women with whom he had been involved out of money, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, during the investigation it was established that the man swindled over 300,000 lei out of one woman.

Adrian Jovmir, head of the press service of the Divison, said the man will be investigated in Moldova and faces 8 to 15 years in jail.

The man was arrested after three women from Chisinau filed complaints to the police. Those who were swindled by this man should go to the police sector or should inform the dispatcher office of the Chisinau Police Division on (022) 54-20-63.
