The General Assembly of Judges chose the president of the Anenii Noi Court Dorel Musteata as permanent member of the Supreme Council of Magistrates on October 3, IPN reports.

Dorel Musteata was elected by 166 votes of the 297 declared valid.

Two more judges competed for the post of member of the Council – judge Gheorghe Balan, of the Botanica Court of Chisinau, and judge Maria Iftodi, of the Edinet Court.

The Supreme Council of Magistrates consists of 12 members. Dorel Musteata is the last elected member.
