Sheriff has a serious qualifying chance in round three of the Junior Champions League. The Tiraspol team defeated Norway's champion Sogndal with a  2-0 score in the first leg of the second round.

The goals were scored by Nichita Covali and Evgheni Gliga. Coach Shota Makharadze used the following players: Cioban, Pleșco, Danilov, Macalici, Covali (Gliga 57), Ojehovschii (Picus 72), Cesnocov, Gaiu, Ignatov, Covcenco (Gradinar 87) and Conohov.

"We can't afford to relax due to a difficult return match that awaits us. We will play on artificial turf and the weather will be cold. We will do our best to gain access to the next round", said Shota Makharadze in a press conference, coach of Sheriff U-19. The return match in Norway will take place on November 27.
