Sfintul Gheorghe team secured the title of vice-champion of Moldova one stage before the end of the championship. The team coached by Sergei Cebotari outranked Petrocub by four points after defeating Zimbru, 2-1, IPN reports.
Sergiu Istrati scored the first two goals of the game, while Traore reduced from the difference in the 50th minute. “It is a historic moment for our team. I thank all those who have supported us”, said Sfîntul Gheorghe coach, Serghei Cebotari, at a press conference.
Petrocub was satisfied with a draw, 2-2 score, in the home game with Speranța, even though they played in numerical superiority from the 63rd minute. At Dedov's double pass, the guests replied through Trofan and Sandu.
Sheriff defeated Codru 3-0. The Belarussian Kendysh opened the scoring and reached a13-goal performance in the current season. Dijinari and Tambe also put their name on the list of scorers.
In another match of the 27th leg, Dinamo-Auto defeated Milsami away, 2-0. Mihaliov converted a penalty, while Urvanțev closed the table in the 75th minute.
