The first-fourth graders will have a nine-day vacation. February 20 was the last day they went to school before the vacation. The fifth-twelfth graders will go on the inter-quarter vacation on February 25. All the students will return to classes on March 2, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Education.

During the days that preceded the vacation, the teachers spoke to the pupils about the traffic safety rules and the safety measures in emergencies. “The children need to play and to amuse themselves because recreation helps acquire work capacity, resistance to effort and to disease. The organization of a healthy and rational lifestyle positively influences the development of the children both physically and mentally and helps them get ready for school,” said the head of the Preuniversity Education Division Valentina Chicu.

The 2014-2015 academic year ends on May 29. During this year the students will have one more vacation, of ten days - between April 11 and April 20 - on the occasion of the Easter holidays.
