The tax on the incomes earned by private individuals from leasing out farmland will be 7%, according to the draft fiscal and customs policy for 2017 that was proposed for public consultations, IPN reports.
The final sum retained from the incomes on the source of payment will be refunded when they are included in the composition of the gross income and when these incomes are declared.
It is also suggested increasing the tax rate on the incomes obtained from transferring or leasing out real estate to 10%. Now the tax is 10% if the property is leased out to economic entities and 5% if it is transferred to other private individuals. The removal of this inequity will bring 2.7 million lei into the budget, according to the Ministry of Finance.
