The citizens who care about the municipality of Chisinau should go and vote in the referendum. This was the message delivered by the chairwoman of the Party of Socialists Zinaida Grecheanyi when she went out of the polling place, IPN reports.
Zinaida Grecheanyi said she voted for another, more comfortable life in the city. Asked if the money spent on the referendum, over 9 million lei, shouldn’t have been better used to carry out laying out works in Chisinau, the Socialist leader asked not to manipulate based on this sum. “This is not even the third part of the revenues collected daily into the state budget,” she stated. Zinaida Grecheanyi noted Chisinau could have been turned into a wonderful capital city with the millions of lei that were stolen at the City Hall.
Voter turnout at the local referendum at 10am stood at 2.5%.
