Zimbru scored the second victory this season. Stefan Stoica’s team won the derby against Dacia by 2-0 and has now the largest number of points after two stages played, IPN reports.
The goals were scored by the 31-year-old halfback Kalu, who plays for the national team of Cape Verde, in the 78th minute and by Alexandru Vremea in the last minute. After the 65th minute, Zimbru had only ten players on the field as Jo was eliminated.
“I’m satisfied with the performance of my pupils. I believe in them. We have six points out of six and this is important,” Zimbru coach Stefan Stoica said in a news conference after the game.
“We are going through a difficult patch. There is nothing more to add,” stated the coach of Dacia Igor Dobrovolski.
The other matches of the second stage ended as follows: Milsami - Saxan 4-1, Academia - Speranta 2-3, and Dinamo-Auto - Zaria 0-0. In the rankings, three teams have a maximum score. These are Sheriff, Speranta and Zimbru.
