Zimbru lost 0-1 the last match of the first stage of the National Division to Dacia-Buiucani. In the 64th minute, Zimbru remained with ten players on the field after Postica was sent off and Dacia-Buiucani in two minutes scored the victory goal through Crîcimari, IPN reports.
Even if Zimbru lost, the team’s administration is happy that they were admitted to the championship as two weeks ago it was not clear if the team will get the necessary license or not.
“First of all, it is important that we received a license to play in the National Division. We have very good coaches and I have confidence in the team,” said the technical director of Zimbru Zsolt Hadnagy.
Zimbru coach Vlad Goian banks on the own players, with former Sfîntul Gheorghe striker Vadim Cemîrtan being the only notable outside player. “It’s clear that it will be hard during the first matches,” stated Vlad Goian.
The other matches of the first stage ended as follows: Dinamo-Auto - FC Florești 3-1, Sheriff - Speranța 2-0, Sfîntul Gheorghe - Codru 5-1, and Milsami - Petrocub 0-0.
