FC Zimbru Chisinau has sent a letter to the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) insisting referee Veacelav Banari must face tougher sanctions for his faulty decisions in a Round 13 match played by Zimbru against Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa on September 21, Info-Prim Neo reports. Earlier, the disciplinary commission of the FMF admitted that Veaceslav Banari was wrong not to award the Bison a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game, but limited itself to issuing a simple warning for Banari. The letter further insists that the “incompetent refereeing” brought an “undeserved” yellow card to Zimbru's Oleg Andronic and a red card to their head coach Ion Caras, which disqualified both for the next match against their local rival Dacia, ended in a draw (1:1). According to the letter, Zimbru considers that Veaceslav Banari has broken the principles of Fair-Play and must apologize publicly for his mistakes. Otherwise, Zimbru will petition the FMF not to allow Banari officiate their games, the letter concludes.
