Zimbru Chisinau bested Zaria Balti 1-0 in the derby of National Division’s matchday 6. The sole goal of the game was netted from the penalty spot by Ilie Damascan on 62 minutes, IPN reports.
“Zaria has experienced players, but we had more desire to win. I’m happy with the way we played. We fielded a lot of young players”, Zimbru coah Iurie Osipenco told the post-match press conference. Meanwhile, Zaria coach Vlad Goian laconically told the press “I congratulate Zimbru on this win”.
After the game, Zimbru climbed to the 5th spot with 7 points in the National Division. Milsami tops the table with 15 points. The Red Eagles traveled to Dinamo-Auto, where they got a resounding 4-1 victory. The other results of matchday 6 are Spicul - Dacia 0-1, Sfantul Gheorghe - Sheriff 0-3 and Petrocub - Speranta 1-1.
