The law firm PB & Partners has launched the public campaign “Zero tolerance of illegal schemes in the building sector”. The goal is to change the approach and attitude of state institutions, especially courts of law and law enforcement bodies, so that these adopt firm decisions to combat and penalize acts of fraud in the building sector, IPN reports.
The authors said that a report on the impact of the campaign on the authorities will be compiled and published until December 10, 2017. In particular, the report will focus on the evolution of the most important disputes and criminal cases generated by swindles in the building sector. The campaign will include roundtable meetings and workshops. Online petitions will be signed and a green line will be set up to offer consultancy and support to victims of swindles in the building sector.
The campaign was launched to combat swindles in the building sector, which became a systemic problem with a negative impact on thousands of families. One of the reasons is the delayed reaction of the state institutions. The courts and law enforcement bodies are not every time very determined to punish these wrongdoings. Such an attitude stimulates those who resort to illegal scheme to continue committing offenses.
