Dacia Chisinau was eliminated from the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. After drawing in Azerbaijan 0-0, Dacia lost to Kapaz in Speia 0-1, IPN reports.
The only goal of the match was scored by Brazilian striker Dario in the 57th minute, following a serious mistake made by goalkeeper Celeadnic. “The whole team is to blame. The occasions should have been used,” Dacia coach Veaceslav Semionov told a news conference.
Instead, Zaria Balti was close to a surprise. After being beating in the first-leg match by Videoton 0-3, the team trained by Vlad Goian won the return game in Chisinau 2-0. The scoreline was set before the end of the first half. The goals were scored by Maxim Mihaliov and Gheorghe Ovseanicov. “I congratulate my team on this play. I’m very disappointed that we failed to qualify. We had enough occasions to also score the third goal,” stated Vlad Goian.
