Zalina Marghieva wins 5th place at hammer throwing in Rio

Athlete Zalina Marghieva obtained a good result at the Olympic Games in Rio. The 28 year old ranked 5th in the hammer throwing finals.

Marghieva managed a result of 73 meters and 50 cm. The champion, Poland’s Anita Wlodarczyk, scored 82 meters and 29 cm.

Also yesterday, Moldova was represented by Vladimir Letnicov, who unfortunately failed to reach the triple jump finals after ranking 38th in the qualifiers.

However, Serghei Tarnovschi managed to reach the 1000 m canoe sprint finals after finishing first in the 3rd qualification tier.
