Youth to collect clothing and money for Leova boarding school’s children

The Association of Civically Engaged Youth (ATAC), supported by a group of students from Chisinau educational institutions, will organise Saturday, December 29, at 10:00-12:00, at the entrance to Gheorghe Asachi Lyceum the campaign “Give Children a Holiday”. The collected clothes and money will go to the children in the Leova-based residential school. The goal of the campaign is to collect things (clothing, books and toys) as well as to raise enough money to buy underwear, socks and other clothes that the children in the boarding school need. The fundraisers said the donations will be listed on a screen and inventoried every ten minutes so as to ensure the transparency of the charity campaign. Names will be made public only at donors’ request; they will be left the choice to either use nicknames or remain anonymous. 433 children live and study at the Leova residential school.
