Youth short-length films to be presented at „Cronograf” Festival on June 1

One-minute movies created by youngsters within the international Video Laboratory for youth will be presented on June 1 at the Cineastes’ Union. The Laboratory is a part of the “Cronograf” Documentary Movie Festival, which takes place these days in Chisinau. This year, the video Laboratory for youth, taking place from May 26 to June 1, is organized by OWH Studio with the financial support of the European Cultural Foundation and UNICEF in Moldova. This year’s edition is the fourth. According to the organizers, these laboratories have the goal to initiate the teenagers in the cinema art and to encourage them to express their own view about the world within the limits of a one-minute movie. After the success of the first editions, where almost 50 teenagers from Moldova participated, this year’s laboratory became international. 21 youngsters from 6 European countries are participating. The young movie producers are instructed by Moldovan and foreign cinema experts. At the previous editions of the video Laboratory about 70 short movies were created and afterwards presented on local TV stations from Moldova, and on a series of foreign channels.
