Youth organizations strengthen cooperation

Youth organizations from Eastern Partnership countries will strengthen their cooperation within a new project launched by the National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM), with the support of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to CNTM press release, the partners of the project are youth councils from Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. CNTM and its partners want to increase the visibility of youth NGOs in the Easter Partnership by strengthening advocacy actions and network cooperation in promoting dialogue with EU institutions. As part of the project, a study will be carried out regarding the role of youth in promoting the Eastern Partnership, and a technical meeting of youth councils from the 6 countries will be organized. Moreover, an event will be organized in each country to push on the public agenda the issue of tools for strengthening cooperation between youth organizations and state bodies. The results of these actions will be presented within the work group “Inter-human contacts”, part of the Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership, which will take place on November 29-30, 2012, in Stockholm, Sweden. The project “Strengthening youth cooperation in Eastern Partnership countries” will run until October 2012 and has a budget of €17,000, being funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
