Youth National Prize Contest announced

Moldovan young people aged from 18 to 35, who have special attainments in science, technique, literature and arts, can compete for the Youth National Prize. Both individual authors and teams can joint the contest. 5 prizes are awarded annually, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Education and Youth Ministry (EYM), the works and candidates will be considered by a special Commission. The winners will get medals, diplomas and titles of laureates of the Youth Prize, plus money. The award was instituted to stimulate youth working in science, technique, literature and arts. 80 prizes have been awarded up to now. The candidates shall be nominated by the managing entities of ministries, agencies, the Academy of Science, creation unions, education institutions, directions dealing with youth and sports issues of local authorities, young scientists councils, national specialty publications. The files can be submitted till the end of October, as the awarding ceremony is schedule for the second half of November. The Youth National Prize was instituted in 1991.
