“Your vote matters!” Young Voter Action in Moldova

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) rolls out the annual drive “The Day of the Young Voter” from October 20 to 24. The action has the slogan “Your vote matters!” and is held in all the districts, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the CEC. This week, high grade students and graduates will meet with CEC members, local authorities, parliamentarians. The young voters are going to learn about free and democratic elections and why it si important to vote. The drive pursues to form a civic attitude in the new generation and make them feel responsible. The importance of the action is boosted by the approaching parliamentary elections in 2009. The action “The Day of the Young Voter” was launched in 2006 and is at its third edition.
