A woman aged 24 from Chisinau municipality was arrested by the police on suspicion that she managed a network of over 20 ‘luxury’ prostitutes. According to the police, the woman asked for €150 to €300 per hour for the services provided by girls she recruited in elite Chisinau clubs, IPN reports.

The prostitutes were ordered by clients exclusive through the agency of the procurer, who sent pictures of the girls to clients through Viber, Facebook or Skype. Afterward, the girls who were selected were taken to the destination by accomplices by personal cars. Sometimes the procurer provided girls as ‘company ladies’ abroad, the sexual services being included in the ‘package’.

Employees of the Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons followed the group for several months and established that the 24-year-old woman headed the group. She had been suspected of procuring earlier too. As a result of a search at the suspect’s home, the police found relevant documentary evidence and €10,000 that was presumably earned by illegal activities.

The suspect was arrested for 72 hours. She faces five to ten years in jail for procuring.
