Young woman killed in road accident

A young woman died after she was struck by a car. The driver did not stop to give the woman first aid. Tudor Capatana, spokesman for the General Police Commissariat, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on Tuesday morning near Sangera town of the municipality of Chisinau. A Mazda-626 car hit fatally a woman aged about 20-23, who died on the spot. The driver left the place of the accident. The police found the car abandoned in a nearby settlement without license plate. Soon afterward, they discovered the owner of the car – a 24-year-old resident of Milesti village of Ialoveni district. An investigation is under way. A man aged 21 from Bacioi village of Chisinau municipality received injuries after the Volkswagen-Golf that he was driving skidded and crashed into a tree. The six traffic accidents that happened in the municipality of Chisinau on Tuesday, January 12, resulted in one death and three persons injured.
