Young woman killed in car accident

A 27-year-old woman died on Saturday morning after the car in which she traveled was hit by a taxi from behind. The accident happened on the Chisinau – Reni road, not far from Rezeni village of Ialoveni district, at about 3am.
Press officer of the Traffic Police Division Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo that the woman was traveling as a passenger in a Volvo that stopped by the roadside. A Dacia taxi driven by a 50-year-old man crashed into the Volvo from behind.
As a result of the collision, the woman died on the spot, while the other persons involved in the accident were unhurt. The circumstances of the accident are being established. The case is investigated by the Prosecution Service of the Ialoveni Police Commissariat.
