A woman aged 18 died last night in a road accident caused by a drunk driver in Sângerei. According to the police, the 23-year-old man didn’t have a driver’s license and was speeding, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the accident happened close to Mărășești village of Sângerei district. The driver lost control of the vehicle and this ended up in a ditch and overturned. There were two more passengers, aged 17 and 21, in the car besides the young woman. These suffered multiple traumas.
The breath test showed the driver was heavily inebriated.
In another serious accident on the Lupa-Recea-Vatici road in Strășeni district, a boy aged 14 died when he jumped out of the car when the vehicle went out of control and started to follow an incline. The other two passages also jumped out and suffered different injuries. The driver ultimately stopped the car. The breath test showed he wasn’t inebriated. A brake problem is blamed for the accident.
