A girl aged 19 from Saratenii Vechi village of Telenesti district was placed under intensive care with burns on 40% of the body after she set herself on fire. The girl’s boyfriend, who tried to save her, suffered burns on his hands, IPN reports.
The boy’s family said the couple lived together with them, in the same house, and a conflict most probably aroused between the two. Before resorting to such a gesture, the girl wrote an SMS message to the sister of her boyfriend and informed this that she intended to commit suicide. It is presumed that the girl went out after midnight, splashed gasoline on herself and set fire to herself. The boy’s parents woke up after hearing the cries of the two.
They were both rushed to the hospital, the girl being admitted to the intensive care section.
